More Words That Strike Fear Into the Heart of a Parent

We had a fastastic time in Ohio for the Thanksgiving weekend--Thanks Mom and Dad! The weather was unseasonably warm, so we got to play outside and even go boating. Grandpa gathered the big pile of leaves, and the kids had a blast playing. Uncle Marty gave great wagon rides, and Uncle Michael was pretty good at navigating the paddle boat in the pond. (It's not as easy as it looks, especially with the tree in the middle of the pond.)
Meanwhile in the house, Mom, Boss, and Peanut were racking up major SRC points. There was an abundance of sewing projects to keep the sewing machine whirring at all hours. We also had a lot of important goodies to get into the mail. And Grandma even indulged us with an early gingerbread making project. The kids loved decorating the houses--except for the kids who simply wanted to eat the candy.
The Thanksgiving feast was delicious. I love mommy's stuffing and of course, the essential orange rolls. The turkey was tasty, but I think the tryptophan got to some people.
One of my favorite parts about the weekend was hearing little Sam's frequent call, "MJ, come play!" The two two-year olds soon became attached at the hip. (Which was tricky while both walked down the stairs holding onto the railing) They got along so well together, and they kept the rest of us running for our cameras.
